Beating the heat with hot summer beauty!

The sun is shining brighter than ever and the heat has taken its toll on all of us. Yes, its that time of the year. Its summer! What better way can you beat the heat than looking good and being hot, gorgeous and beautiful.
I thought of making a post on hair and makeup which will best suit this season. Hope all of you like it!

The tones that best fit for this season are the pinks, peaches, oranges, nudes and brown tones. These are the colors that represent the season because of its warm and sunny tone.

MAKEUP PRODUCTS USED AND INSTRUCTIONS:
So what I did was I used an SPF 30 BB cream ( Etude House Mineral BB cream) all over her face.  Remember that protecting your skin from the sun in important especially during this season to avoid skin problems such as sun burn, skin cancer and the like. Too much sun exposure causes our skin to age and wrinkle and we don't like that do we? So our number one rule for this season is to use products that protect our skin from the sun. I then finished it with Revlon Photo Ready face powder so her skin would look best in our pictures. For the eyes I used a cream tone for the brow bone and base of the lid, a mixture of peach and pink for the the middle area of the lid, shimmery white for the inner corner of the lid, medium brown for the outer corner of the lid, and dark brown for the contouring the crease of her eye which gave her eyes a bigger and rounder effect. All the tones used in her eye is from the E.L.F. multicolored eye shadow palette. Her eyes were lined with an eye liner I purchased from SASA in hongkong and coated her eyelashes with maybellines magnum volume express. I blushed the apples of her cheeks and jawline with tickled pink blush also from E.L.F. I then glazed the area above her cheek bone and the bone of her nose with high beam high lighter from benefit to give that part of her skin an extra glow when hit by the sun or any light. Lastly I applied shimmery pink lip gloss from l'oreal

Here is a clear visual guide to the eye makeup I used on the model. I created this illustration using Lancome's   makeup app for my ipad.

These are the products used during the shoot. Brands are E.L.F, Etude House, Revlon, Benefit, and L'oreal.

RECOMMENDABLE PRODUCTS USED:
The Revlon Photo Finish Foundation is highly recommendable for occasions that come with picture taking such as prom, ball, parties, weddings and the like. It gives you a perfect skin for pictures. Not too powdery not too shiny. The High Beam highlighter from benefit is also highly recommendable because of its thick luminous cream which gives you that extra glow.

This season's hair trends are all about the care free beach waves and the cute braids which give you that summery surfer girl look.

HAIR STYLING INSTRUCTIONS:
using a hair brush, tease the crown area and other parts of the hair where one wants body and volume. Fix hair neatly after teasing then curl bunches of hair depending on how curly you want it. Remember, Less strands per bunch of hair curled leads to curlier hair and more strands per bunch leads to less curly to wavy hair. In our shoot we used more strands of hair per bunch so it gave us a wavy effect. I then combed down the strands using my fingers to give it that loose care free look. I then took some strands from both sides of the head and braided it then secured both sides together with  bobby pins. Lastly, I added a flower clip to the secured bobby pins to add a litte touch of cuteness! :)

Play around with different summer tones, waves and braids! Be creative! And remember to stay hydrated and protected by the sun this season because the heat is hotter than ever! Thank you! Follow and Share the love! :)

Love Always,
Ana  Lim :)
